Wow! What a year we’ve had here at Windsong Ranch! From events public to private, swim lessons, soccer camps, field trips, festivals, and more— there was no shortage of fun to be had at Windsong.
With a lifestyle this extraordinary, it would be a crime not to invite prospective buyers and realtors to experience it firsthand, so once a month we open our gates and invite the public to see just how we get down at Windsong Ranch. Our Lifestyle Director, Lauren does a fantastic job of organizing a full calendar of events featuring resident favorites like our Annual Windsong Wine & Music Festival or Star Spangled Splash Bash that display what we are all about—bringing people together to experience life as it should be.
Living in a master-planned community affords residents several benefits, a main perk being access to our selection of amazing amenities like Windsong Café, our recreation center, and miles of open green space and multipurpose trails. Along with access to all of this, residents also had the opportunity to partake in tons of recreational programs, personal fitness sessions, and even a few 5k’s.
Residents laced ‘em up and swung for the fences with the men’s softball team, the Windsong Warriors, and some dove in and showcased their skills as part of the newly formed Windsong Swim Team. Others took to the pool for swim lessons, or grabbed a racket and took to the tennis courts for lessons or participated in Thursday night Pickleball Socials.
We also offered a selection of fitness classes led by our very own personal trainers who are available for hire year round. Residents took advantage of classes for every interest and skill level from Yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi, to Zumba, Ju-Jitsu, ballet classes and even self-defense lessons—just to name a few!
We also opened our Windsong mountain bike trails this year! We took our homeowners on a community ride to explore the trails and then took advantage of the expanded concrete trail system to host three 5k’s throughout 2016.
Don’t let all that fitness talk get you sweating—it’s not all about fitness here, we also offered classes on cooking, fly fishing and landscaping. We got our younger residents involved with the introduction of the “Windsong #TeenScene”. Our Teens enjoyed several socials, took part in community service, and went on a few field trips, while our Tweens took part in several craft projects, competed in kickball matches, cooled off with a slip and slide and more! Oh, don’t worry; we didn’t forget about parents–2016 also saw the creation of the “Windsong Freebirds”, a group of empty nesters that meet once a month for wine down Wednesdays.
This year was also the beginning of a fantastic partnership with Harvest to House, a local farm, who allowed residents to order fresh produce online and have their orders delivered to The Commons each Saturday where residents enjoyed coffee and camaraderie among their neighbors.
The community of Windsong Ranch enjoyed 81 different events in 2016. Each designed to display the best of our community and bring people together, whether through recreational activities, interest groups, or just a good ol’ party. Here’s to an extraordinary year, full of extraordinary people, doing extraordinary things—we can’t wait to see what 2017 brings at Windsong Ranch!
