This month, the master-planned community of Windsong Ranch in Prosper, TX won the prestigious People’s Choice Community of the Year Award at the 37th annual McSAM Awards presented by the Dallas Builders Association (DBA).
What are the McSAM Awards?
The McSAM Awards program is held every spring to recognize outstanding achievement and maximum creativity in sales and marketing in the North Texas homebuilding industry. This year, there were 58 categories and over 300 entries.
The People’s Choice Award is one of the most coveted of the McSAM Awards because it’s based solely on customer satisfaction. The winner of the People’s Choice Award is decided on by a third party research firm that surveys homeowners and asks them to rate their community in various categories. The community with the highest rating is named the People’s Choice Community of the Year.

In 2015, Windsong Ranch won the DBA’s Master-Planned Community of the Year Award, judged by development experts from across the US from, and earlier this year Windsong Ranch won the National Association of Home Builders Award for Best Welcome Center – where they have also been named a silver award winner in 2015 and 2016 for Community of the Year. Overall, Windsong Ranch has won over 20 local, state and national awards since starting development and opening less than two years ago.
