Look out! The Dallas-Fort Worth area will be welcoming a brand new attraction, Kidzania, this fall that is sure to engage the imaginations of young and old alike.

KidZania is a kid-sized city within an 80,000 square-foot indoor facility, uniquely constructed for curriculum-based, interactive experiences to shape children’s visions for future career paths. Currently, there are 27 locations worldwide, but KidZania will have its first U.S. location in Frisco, TX. The facility is currently being constructed in Stonebriar Centre, a popular, mid-range shopping mall less than 20 minutes away from Windsong Ranch. This location is to include an attached parking garage and is fully accessible for all guests.

KidZania is one of the fastest growing global educational entertainment brands worldwide. Each location is said to experience more than a half million visitors every year. Designed for children ages four to 14, kids have the chance to experience more than 100 different occupations amongst over 50 businesses. Popular occupations that kids can try include firefighter, pilot, secret agent, doctor, chef, news anchor and astronaut.

As one of the fastest-growing areas in the U.S., KidZania North America CEO Greg Stevens provided that Frisco was an excellent choice for the first U.S. location, given the amount of companies coming to the area and the great dynamics throughout. Since 2010, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area has experienced more than a 16.9% increase in population. Additionally, over 650,000 new jobs have been added. Moreover, Frisco and surrounding areas align with KidZania’s primary demographic of aspirational parents wanting to help their children get ahead. “It just seems like a place that’s got a lot of good going on,” Stevens stated. And here at Windsong Ranch, we could not agree more.
