Exciting things are happening at Windsong Ranch! THE LAGOON, the first-of-its-kind in North Texas, built using Crystal Lagoons® technology, has hit a construction milestone. Workers have completed installing a proprietary liner that is an integral part of mimicking the Caribbean paradise, which the amenity company is known worldwide for. The liner can withstand the sun’s ultraviolet rays without deteriorating and lasts up to 100 years.
In addition to the five-acre bright white geo-membrane liner, general contractor and preferred liner installation specialist COMANCO is installing necessary panel-to-panel fusion welding within the floor areas. The liner installation phase includes nearly 9,000 linear feet of low-profile extrusion welding tie-in to existing concrete. The liner system will flow naturally into the two distinct beach radii and wall surfaces while maintaining its banjo tight finish for an aesthetically pleasing, crystal blue experience.
Once the liner is installed, the next step is filling this extraordinary amenity with water, which will begin on April 1 and take about 2.5 weeks. THE LAGOON is expected to open this June and will be a private amenity, exclusively available to our residents.

The LAGOON at Windsong Ranch will be a five-acre, clear, tropical lagoon built using Crystal Lagoons® patented, state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly technology. Surrounded by white sandy beaches and hike and bike trails, this beautiful amenity will use 30 times less water than a golf course of the same size and can be filled with any type of water, including saltwater. It also uses 100 times fewer chemicals than traditional swimming pools and consumes only two percent of the energy required by traditional pool filtration systems. The result is a dramatic, clean, clear body of fresh water perfect for a wide variety of recreational activities – swimming, kayaking, remote control boat races, paddle boarding and windsurfing.
