As Seen in Dallas Morning News: Highway 380 corridor drives traffic to Windsong Ranch

North Dallas has long been known for its more reasonably priced housing opportunities within the Dallas Metroplex. Now with strong growth in key demographics, developers are recognizing the North Dallas/US Highway 380 corridor as an attractive area for retail and commercial development.

Highway 380 is fast becoming a major east and west thoroughfare providing accessibility to the rest of the Metroplex. The surge in home sales along this popular travel corridor has allowed the once retail-starved area to see major commercial developments sprout. These new developments offer significantly improved retail options from big box retailers to large anchor grocery stores like Kroger Marketplace. Additionally, these commercial shopping centers, like Windsong Ranch Marketplace located just outside the entrance to Windsong Ranch at Highway 380 and Windsong Parkway, will host a wide array of popular restaurants, convenience and retail offerings.

The new boom in commercial development has been a traffic booster for the area’s residential communities. Windsong Ranch, the award-winning, 2,030-acre residential development by Terra Verde Group, located at 1001 Windsong Parkway South, just 2.5 miles west of the Dallas North Tollway on the north side of Highway 380 in Prosper, TX, has experienced a 20% higher than expected level of buyer visits during the first two months of 2017. The community is also seeing an increase in web visits and individuals requesting more information on the community’s homes and lifestyle.

While commercial development is helping to drive increased buyer traffic to Windsong Ranch, the community’s significant amenities continue to attract local as well as regional buyers. Windsong Ranch offers over 600 acres of green space throughout the property including parks, open play areas, creeks, ponds and miles of hike and bike trails. The Commons is the main amenity center where residents enjoy Windsong Ranch Café along with the convenience of free WiFi, an outdoor living area, resort-style pools with cabanas and grilling areas, an event lawn, a lakeside amphitheater with floating stage, a state-of-the-art fitness center, four lighted tennis courts and a kid’s creative play area. Recently completed amenities include a mountain bike course and an 18-hole championship disc golf course. Final design and planning is underway for a second amenity center.

Upon completion, Windsong Ranch will consist of 3,100 single-family homes and 100 acres of mixed-use development along U.S Highway 380.
Homes range from the low $300s to $1M+ and include villas to single-family homes, lot sizes are 61’- 86’ lots and feature exceptional builders such as American Legend Homes, Britton Homes, Chesmar Homes, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Grenadier Homes, Highland Homes, Huntington Homes and MainVue Homes. Models are open daily for tours.
Windsong Ranch is 35 minutes from downtown Dallas, 30 minutes from DFW Airport and 40 minutes from Dallas Love Field.
