Windsong Ranch, a 2,030-acre master-planned community in Prosper, announced in March 2015 that Prosper ISD approved the newest elementary school to open in Windsong Ranch for the 2016-2017 school year.
“We appreciate our relationship with Windsong Ranch and are looking forward to opening our sixth elementary school in August of 2016. This will be the first of a number of Prosper ISD schools in the development,” said Drew Watkins, Prosper ISD Superintendent.
Windsong Elementary broke ground in May 2015 inside of the Cadence neighborhood of Windsong Ranch. “We are thrilled to officially have Windsong Elementary on the map for Prosper families,” said Craig Martin, Founding Partner of Terra Verde Group, the developer of Windsong Ranch. “Providing children the opportunity to safely walk or bike to school has always been part of the master plan of Windsong Ranch.”
Prosper ISD is one of the highest-ranked school districts in the state of Texas. “The onsite elementary school will continue to enhance our sense of community. We look forward to establishing a long-term partnership with Prosper ISD, as we work together to provide a first-class educational environment for all future schools,” said Martin. Windsong Ranch is slated to house two elementary schools and a middle school within the community.
