You can smell it in the Prosper, Texas air – Halloween is coming! The days are getting shorter and the weather is finally cooling down. As the big day approaches, you and your children may be scrambling to get last minute costumes together for parties and trick-or-treating. Here are a few easy ideas to get you started:
Candy Boxes
Halloween is filled with treats, and this costume just made it even sweeter!
What you need:
– Tape, pencil
– Scissors
– Large cardboard boxes
– Craft paper
– Acrylic paint (colors vary depending on candy your child chooses).
What you do: Start by cutting the holes for the arms and head on the cardboard box. Then, cover the entire box with craft paper and sketch the candy box details with a pencil. Paint according to how the box looks in real life, and then let it dry. For more tips on this project, click here.

Speaking of boxes, here’s another fun and easy idea for a children’s Halloween costume: a Rubik’s cube!
What you need:
– Large square box
– Scissors
– Craft glue

Use the black electric tape to create squares on all the sides.
